Planning your journey
Travelling should always be planned to avoid unnecessary hassles. A travel plan is the most responsible factor for your travel experience. Whether it will be pleasurable or stressful will largely depend on how well you plan in advance.
It is essential that you make all the required arrangements before you set out to travel in order to make a comfortable and smooth journey. So, buy the traveling tickets well before you embark on your journey.
Learn all that you can about your destination. Having some knowledge of the people, economy, and local holidays/events will make your planning go much smoother.
Make a budget. Find out about the local cost of living. Having an idea of how much food, souvenirs, room rates and anything necessary for your trip will cost prevents oversights and monetary fiascos.
Pack the appropriate attire. Be aware of the types of weather you are likely to come across while on your trip and pack accordingly. Sweaters for winter, etc. Keep a small bag that carries your frequently required items separate from the bigger luggage. Books, ipod, snacks, water bottle, camera, tickets, etc are some of the things you may want to stuff the small bag with, so you can have easy access to them.
Carry a credit or debit card instead of heavy cash. As credit/debit cards are accepted almost everywhere they make purchases a very easy and convenient process. Moreover, they are very safe to carry as well.
Planning your trip in advance can go a long way to ensuring your time away becomes an unforgettable experience - and not for all the wrong reasons.
